Geir Henning Hopland (born 1970) is a Norwegian director and screenwriter. Geir has recently co-written and directed Headhunters, a prequel to Jo Nesbøs best-selger. Prior to this Geir directed Magnus – which won Best Scandinavian comedy at the Seriedagene Awards, a critic's award with reviewers from Norway, Sweden and Denmark. He directed The Lawyer.
Geir was showrunner and directed the pilot and eight episodes of Acquitted. He also directed seven episodes of Lilyhammer.
Geir created, wrote and directed Buzz Aldrin, What Happened to You in All The Confusion? It was nominated for 9 Gullruten in Norway, including Best Direction and Best Script.
