Gemma Wallace
Gemma Louise Wallace (born 18 June 1995) is a British actress.[1][2] She has worked in multiple different areas of performance including but not limited to Screen, Stage, Voice and Presenting.
Early life
Wallace was born and raised in Uxbridge, West London to Jacqueline, a Special Needs Assistant, and Mark Wallace, a construction manager; she is the youngest child of two. She attended Uxbridge High School[3] located in Hillingdon and later went on to attend Uxbridge College[4] receiving a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts[5][6]. During her time at College, she trained at Liberty Arts Theatre[7][8] taking classes in Drama and Singing. Whilst she was training with them, she won her first award in the Watford Acting Festival[9] gaining a Distinction [10] in her Monologue in there Speech & Drama Performance[11] in 2013. Once finishing College, Wallace would relocate to Southampton to attend Southampton Solent University where she undertook a Bachelor of Arts within Performance[5][6][12].
Career
In 2011, Wallace starred in her first production for an un-credited role in the popular Channel 4 TV show Black Mirrors as a background artist[2].
In 2012 she featured in Liberty Art's Theatre[2] [8] Showcase of 'Melody of Musicals' singing as Elphaba in Wicked's "For Good" and 'Maria' in The Sound of Music's "Do-Re-Mi".
In 2013, Wallace then went onto performing in Showdown Theatre Art's[2][13] Les Mis School Edition[14][15] Performed at the Leatherhead Theatre playing Fantine's Understudy [2]and multiple roles in the Chorus[15][2]. The same year she featured in E4's Series Drifters as a guest [2](un-credited). Wallace performed as Dr Dysart[2] at Uxbridge College[4]'s play of Equus[2].
In 2014 she appeared in several Short films whilst studying at University in The Final Cut[2], The Breakup[2], In Too Deep[2], De-Cuppacino[2] and an Animation Short Voicing 'Lambency'[2]. From this, Wallace began her journey in Screen Acting and discovered her new goal of pursuing it as a career.
In her last year at Solent University[12]; 2016, she trained in The Alexander Technique[2][16] [17]. When graduating from Southampton Solent University[18] in 2016, Gemma performed in the graduating Showcase [18]at the Actor's Centre[19], London performing her monologue [20] from Gordon Steel's novel of "Like A Virgin.
