General Datatech, LP (commonly abbreviated as GDT) is a technology integration partner or value-added reseller founded by JW Roberts in 1996. GDT provides planning, procurement, staging and testing, warehousing and logistics, project management, deployment, and quality audits of IT products and solutions. GDT specializes in the delivery of enterprise network, collaboration, mobility and data center technologies. GDT serves telecommunications service providers and internet service providers as well as state and local government and businesses of all sizes within the healthcare, retail, energy, financial, and education market sectors.

GDT partners with companies such as equipment manufacturer Cisco to provide products and services.[1] GDT is a Cisco Gold Partner, a Cisco Master Partner, a Cisco Cloud Partner, and has achieved Customer Satisfaction Excellence.[2]

GDT Subsidiaries[edit]

GDT subsidiary, GDT Manufacturing manufactures custom fiber optic assemblies and copper cable assemblies. GDT subsidiary, GDT Advanced Solutions provides cloud services and managed services.

History[edit]

In 2009, GDT reported "about 170 employees and plans to reach 200 in the next six to we months." [1]

In 2011, the company projected an estimated $200 million in revenue for that year.[3]

In 2013, GDT reported a growth rate of 40 percent per year and an employee count of "400-plus people from coast-to-coast".[4]

Locations[edit]

Based in Dallas, Texas, United States, GDT maintains offices domestically and abroad. Locations in the United States include offices in the northeast, on the West Coast, in Arkansas, as well as five Texas locations that in addition to the headquarters include Austin, El Paso, and San Antonio.
