Georgi Merkwiladse (born July 16, 1994), known professionally as Geo47 (pronounced "Geo Forty Seven"), is a Georgian rapper and record Producer living currently in Belgium. He is best known for his first song "Escobar", as well as other songs such as "Panamera", "Digga" and "Body bag".

Early life[edit]

Georgi Merkwiladse was born July 16, 1994 in Tbilisi, Georgia. At the age of 6 he enrolled in a private school called 'Lyceum Lampari'. When Georgi was 13 years old, he moved to Belgium, where he enrolled in a catholic school 'VSI Zusters Maricolen'. After finishing high school he started studying at Arteveldehogeschool Ghent, where he studied Communicationmanagement. Georgi started writing when he was just 6 years old, this evolved to writing songs.


2017: Career beginnings

Georgi's rap career began on August 2017 when he recorded his first track "Escobar". The single produced was independently released in 2018 on the music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Tidal, itunes etc. as his debut single. Georgi quickly followed the song with singles "Panamera", "Digga" and "Body bag". In March 2018 Georgi started his own record label Black Ink Records

2018–present: Rising popularity

In June 2018, Georgi announced through Instagram that his first music video was in the works and would be released in July. On July 11, 2018 he released the music video of Digga on Youtube and various music streaming platforms.

On August 18, 2018, he released his single "Body bag".
