The Los Angeles Dodgers purchased him in late August[7] and he appeared in three games with their Single-A affiliate the Great Lakes Loons, posting a 5.14 ERA.

Controversies[edit]

While in Australia in 2011, he was involved in an alleged head-on, drunk driving collision while celebrating his team's ABL championship victory, garnering headlines.[9]
