Writer and Director M. Jeevan Reddy has made his debut with Dalam[3] which is critically acclaimed film. D.O.P Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti has won National award[4] in the category Best Debut Director for [[Naal] Marathi film. He has also worked in blockbuster films like Sairat Marathi film, Veere Di Wedding Hindi Film and he is currently working on Jhund starring Amitabh Bachchan and Saand Ki Aankh starring Taapsee Pannu . Art director Gandhi Nadikudikar has also worked for blockbuster movies like Gopal Gopal, Nachehavule, Karthikeya, Manamantha, Bhaagmathi and Mahanubavudu Raakshasudu. Background score is given by Arijit Dutta[5] who has given background score to movies like Airlift , Veere Di Wedding to name a few. He has also won some prestigious awards like Zee Cine Awards for his work in Bollywood
Synopsis[edit]
George Reddy is the biopic touted to show the student movements in OU between 1962 and 1972. A student leader who was the most influential of them all in Andhra Pradesh politics.[1]
George Reddy was also a gold-medallist apart from being a boxer. He was an icon who inspired many with his revolutionary thoughts and ideology.[2]
He fought against social discrimination and became famous by spreading Marxist ideology.[6]
He was brutally murdered at the age 25, in the student hostel of Osmania University.[7]
His Death Lead to the formation of Progressive Democratic Student Union (PDSU) a student body in the campus.[8]
Film Maker Jeevan Reddy is fascinated by George Reddy's thoughts and revolutionary zeal. He was teen when he first read about Late George Reddy which left incredible impression on him. this movie is an humble attempt to make present generation aware and Inspire from his story. Jeevan Reddy has been working on this project from last five years.[9]
Filmmaker Jeevan Reddy met friends and family to know every detail possible. He spent nearlu two years to finalise the lead[10]
