The Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC) is a unit of Georgia Tech that researches information security issues such as cryptography, network security, trusted computing, software reliability, privacy, and internet governance.[1]
History[edit]
GTISC was established in April 1998.[2] In 2015, the unit was renamed the Institute for Information Security & Privacy (IISP), and reclassified as an interdisciplinary research institute at Georgia Tech. Today, GTISC exists as one of 11 labs within the IISP.
GTISC's most recent director was Wenke Lee, who now serves as co-director of the IISP.[3] Mustaque Ahamad, Blaine Burnham, Richard DeMillo, and Ralph Merkle also previously served as GTISC directors.[4][5][6][7]
