Koenig Institute is an offshore information technology training institute, located in the West Delhi, India.[1] It is known for providing training and certifications in information security and cybersecurity tools.

History[edit]

In 1993, the training institute was opened at Moti Nagar in West Delhi.[2] It is an authorized IT training partner of Cisco, Adobe, Apple, EC-Council, Red Hat, Oracle, Google, Microsoft, and VMware.[3] As per the local media reports, the institute is known for offering Ethical hacking courses in as many as 80 classrooms and "It is hard to find an empty seat in the evening".[4]

In 2013, the institute came to public attention when it was revealed that NSA-whistleblower Edward Snowden spent a week in 2010, to train in core Java programming and advanced ethical hacking.[5][6] But, he abruptly left the training midway through due to medical reasons, which many disputed.[7]
