GifBoom is a free social networking mobile application that enables its users to upload animated GIFs and to share them on GifBoom as well as on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, or via email or MMS. GifBoom is available in the App Store and in the Google Play Store too. On November 4, 2014, the application abruptly crashed. While unable to recover any data prior to the crash, GifBoom developers resorted to resetting the application.( The app no longer loads due to the domain name of GifBoom.com no longer being able to be resolved (as of 9/17/2017). The app simply tries to load, but cannot find a service to connect to. The GifBoom Twitter states: "We're having a service disruption. Working on resolving the issue and will provide an update as soon as possible." on 11/3/14.
Features and tools
GifBoom allows its users to create their own animated GIFs or to "reboom" GIFs of other users. A GIF does not contain more than 60 pictures/frames.
GifBoom uses a lot of typical social network features such as hashtags and the opportunity to like posts and follow other users.
