"Gimme Dat" is a song by Nigerian rapper Ice Prince, released on April 24, 2013 as the third single from his second studio album Fire of Zamani. It features recording artists Yung L, Burna Boy, and Olamide. The song was produced by Chopstix and released under Chocolate City. It was released simultaneously with "V.I.P".[1][2][3]
Alternative version[edit]
After the release of the original version, an alternative version featuring Wande Coal surfaced on the internet. The alternative version reprises Ice Prince, Yung L, and Olamide verses.[4][5] It didn't make the album's final track-listing that was released on October 21, 2013.[6][7][8]
Critical reception[edit]
Upon its release, the song was met with positive review. Tolu of Gidilounge said: "Gimme Dat’ is a monster Colabo with some of the hottest artist in the industry at the moment.[9] A writer for Jaguda added: "Gimme Dat on the other hand brings a different vibe. It features Burna Boy, Yung L & Olamide, and has some serious hit potential."[10]
