Gina Champion-Cain

Gina Champion-Cain (born 15 February 1965) is an American businesswoman and con artist.
She was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved to San Diego, California in 1987. She first studied law at the University of San Diego, switched to economics and graduated with an MBA.
She later served as CEO of Pateo-Group with restaurants, she was a founder of American National Investments and a board member of Endeavor Bank, founded in 2017 and based in San Diego.[1] She swindled investors out of approximately $400 million under the Ponzi scheme with a alcohol license financing scheme.
On July 22, 2020, she pleaded guilty to securities fraud, conspiracy and obstruction of justice. On 31 March 2021, in San Diego District Court, Judge Larry Alan Burns sentenced Champion-Cain to 15 years in prison — the maximum sentence.[2][3]
