Giovanni Corrado (born May, 15, 1997) is an American-Italian youth media activist and news personality. Corrado rose to fame after his TV appearance on Rai 1 in the 2017 where he discussed his experience at the White House.[1] From then on he was covered by several TV channels and publications for his journey from a small town in Italy to the White House.  He is also known for founding Next Generation First and for his involvement in charitable events around the world. Giovanni is also a United Nations Youth Ambassador, Harvard Master’s Student and has worked at Bloomberg in the past.

Early life and education[edit]

Corrado was born on 15 May 1997 in Italy to a Columbian Mother and an Italian Father.[2] He left his hometown in Chiavari, Italy at the age of 16 to travel to the United States. In just four years, this decision allowed him to accumulate experiences unthinkable for many of his peers: an internship at Donald Trump's White House, a job with presidential candidate Marco Rubio in the Florida immigration office, the foundation of a company that is about to present on a global scale and a fellowship at the United Nations for the creation of awareness campaigns and fundraising for vaccines against viral diseases.[3] He was part of the first group of four interns in President Donald Trump's Office of Communications during the summer of 2016.[2] At just 20 years old, Corrado was working with the Republican party of Florida.[4] After moving to Miami, Giovanni attended Franklin & Marshall College, studying Government & Public Policy. Corrado is currently pursuing a Master's of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Government at Harvard University.

Career[edit]

Shortly after moving to Miami, Corrado got a job in Marco Rubio's office , an internship in the White House press office.[5] In 2017 Corrado was Communications Director - Rosy Palomino for Fl State House 112. After spending more than three years as Global Youth Health Champion for the United Nations Foundation, he now works as Senior Associate (Law) at GLG.[citation needed]

Corrado has appeared on several news channels to express his views on the Covid 19 situation in both Italy and the U.S.[1]
