Girlfriend in a Coma is an upcoming American comedy television sitcom. It will be broadcast on NBC starting in 2014, starring Miranda Cosgrove.[1] It will be based on the book of the same name by Douglas Coupland.
Synopsis[edit]
Karen goes into a coma after her first time. Seventeen years later she discovers that she had a daughter in a coma, Evie (Miranda Cosgrove), and finds her ex-boyfriend.

Production[edit]
In January 2013 Liz Brixius announces who is writing the pilot starring Christina Ricci and Miranda Cosgrove.[2] On March 19, 2013, it was announced that Ricci would not be a part of the show.[3][4][5] On August 14, 2013, it was announced that David Frankel signed with NBC to be the director of the pilot 'Girlfriend in a Coma'
