Uchinaga Aeri ((Hangul: 우치나가에리 Japanese: うちながえり Uchinaga Aeri, born October 30, 2000), better known mononymously as Giselle, is a South Korean-Japanese singer based in South Korea. She is known as a member of girl group aespa.
Career
Giselle was revealed as the fourth and final member of aespa[1]. She debuted as a member of Aespa on November 17, 2020 with the digital single Black Mamba through SM Entertainment.[2]
Controversy
In October 2021, SM Entertainment uploaded on YouTube a behind-the-scenes clip where Giselle mouthed an offensive racial slur while singing to SZA's Love Galore, which quickly went viral, but quickly made it private after a fan voiced their opinion on Giselle mouthing the offensive word. Giselle later released an official apology through Twitter.[3]
