Glengow Rangers are a fictional football team with whom Hamish Balfour and Mighty Mouse spent the last years of their careers in the British comic magazine Roy of the Rovers - the strip first appeared in Tiger in 1973. The club was a direct reference to Glasgow Rangers.
History
In 1990, manager Ian McWhacker, one year after he helped Princes Park be crowned European Cup winners (by beating Bumchen Munchen in the European Cup Winners' Cup Final), he took over Glengow Rangers. He also signed Mouse and Balfour for his new team, Glengow Rangers. Balfour left Princes Park FC after 16 years.
Glengow became Scottish Cup winners in 1991 and also won the Cup Winners' Cup in 1992. On 30 January 1993, after a horrible defeat in the Scottish Cup, manager McWhacker quit, leaving Balfour and Mouse in doubt over their future in Glengow Rangers.
