Global Voices UK
Global Voices UK is an international translation company which has worked on many projects around the world.
History[edit]
Global Voices was launched by Luigi Koechlin[1] who created the global translation company at the age of 30. Global Voices was established in 2004 with it's head office at Scion House, Innovation Park in Stirling.[2]
Luigi was brought up in an entrepreneurial family so starting up his own business seemed like the natural and most exciting thing to do; "Being my own boss was a natural step for me and I had already had success with other ventures."[3]
Present day[edit]
The organisation now employs around 30 members of permanent staff and has a network of around 3,500 linguists around the world speaking over 140 different languages. The services offered include translation services, localisation and interpretation services for public and private sectors.
The company has been running for 10 years and operates from a number of offices around the world as Luigi explains: "For us, deciding to internationalise our business was never going to be an option, it was a must. Over a decade later we continue to drive the business forward with a very international focus."[4]
Awards and certifications[edit]
Over the years, Global Voices have gained recognition for their work and high quality. In 2012 the company was audited by the Investors in People who commented that the "organisation is very well managed, exceptionally structured in its’ systems and processes, and staffed by a highly motivated group of capable people”.[5] The company was then given the ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
