Gopal Das Bhandari Award
The Gopal Das Bhandari Memorial Distinguished Teacher Award of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was instituted by Anil Bhandari to honor his father. Anil Bhandari was a student of Mechanical Engineering in the Class of 1969. In addition to a citation, the Award includes a cash reward of Rs. 50,000. The recipient is chosen in September from among the professors of the Institute by the members of the graduating class.
