"Gossip" is a song by Irish recording artist Nadine Coyle. The song, the second track from Coyle's upcoming Nadine EP,[1] was released as a digital download on 23 February 2018 by Virgin EMI Records.

Background and release[edit]

There's a song [...] called Gossip and [it] is a total different style than Girls On Fire or Go To Work. It's really laid back, it's more reflective, not deeper but more reflective. We will keep releasing a song every two weeks and just see how quickly we can turn songs around and get them out there.

—Coyle on the song and plan for the EP.[2]

After announcing that Coyle had signed a recording deal with Virgin EMI Records in July 2017,[3] Coyle released her new single, "Go to Work", on 8 September 2017.

"Girls on Fire" was released [4] as the first song from her new upcoming four-track EP, on 8 February 2018. Coyle announced that tracks from the new EP would be released bi-weekly,[5] and "Gossip" was subsequently released on 23 February 2018.

Critical reception[edit]

Bradley Stern of MuuMuse says that "Gossip is a welcome change of sonic pace for the Derry diva. Queen Nuhdeen (sic) [..] is back with yet another song. And this time, she's slowing things down." [6]
