Govardhan Dravyam App is a Ayurveda App developed to help people understand the medicinal values of plants around them. Developed by a Ayurveda Medical Student from Kerala, India who is currently studying at P. N. Panicker Souhruda Ayurveda Medical College.
Govardhan was founded by Gokul Rajendran and was launched on 23 February 2021. The work is in Honor of Dr. Athira Chandran, who taught Dravya Guna to the founder.
History[edit]
The Idea for the App started as "A App with Data of 200 drugs which can help BAMS students study well". was put forward by the Dravya Guna Teacher Dr. Athira Chandran. Which was taken up by the Founder to be a good idea to work upon.
Rajendran started working on this Project from his 3rd year in college, to release this App. After making a Beta version, the data verification was done with the help of Vandana & Neelima, two of his friends.

The Holistic Reference of Ayurveda for Climate Action, was one of the important things the App has started working on.
Reforestation with Medicinal Plants[edit]
Medicinal plants and herbs have been discovered and used in traditional medicine practises since prehistoric times. Plants synthesise hundreds of chemical compounds for functions including defence against insects, fungi, diseases, and herbivorous mammals. Medicinal plants need to be at the heart of reforestation because:
- their use as nutrition supplements and in the cosmetic and perfume industry is essential.
- people value plants more because of their medicinal properties.
- people are aware that nature has existencial potential.
Global Medicinal Plant Library[edit]
Global Medicinal Plant Library is the latest project aimed to classify and bring out knowledge of Traditional & Holistic use of Medicinal Plants.
Aiming to Create a platform, where everyone around the world can add data about how to use medicinal plants around them. With Level of Authenticity, which can help make the information reliable.
Collecting Data world wide through volunteers, indigenous people etc. and building the new base structure for the app to accommodate them.
