Collins Oviawe (born September 1992) popularly known as Governor of Africa (GOA) is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer.. He became a major headline with his track Cincinnati, featuring Peruzzi, Davido. He has collaborated with other Nigerian artists and producers including Dj Neptune, Bella Shmurda among other African artists.
Background and Education[edit]
Born to Stephen Oviawe and Helen Oviawe hails from Edo state, Southern Nigeria. He attended Children academy and University preparatory secondary school in Edo state, before enrolling into the Delta State University, where he completed a degree in Accounting and Finance in 2014.
Career[edit]
He began his career majorly as an event and entertainment coordinator, being responsible for handling celebrities and lifestyle events while studying at the Delta State University. After finishing his degree program, he founded his entertainment brand Playnation Entertainment, and sits as its current CEO. Planation Entertainment is also record-producing and entertainment brand, which premiered its first signature event, The Bikini Splash Pool Party in Benin city, and its second edition in Cape Town, South Africa.
In 2020, GOA released his first major hit Cincinnati which featured Peruzzi and Davido, and ranked eighty-four on the Top 100 Nigeria playlist on Apple music
