Grand Caribe Resort
Grand Caribe Resort[1] is located on the island of San Pedro Town. It opened its doors in 2008, with the last units being opened in 2010. The resort has two 40,000 US gallons (150,000 L) and one 190,000 US gallons (720,000 L) pools on its property. These pools are salt water pools, which use a special chlorine generator.[2] The saltwater system is popular because it is much gentler on the skin, face, eyes, and clothes and will not turn hair green. Another benefit of using the saltwater system for pools is that the pools do not have to be closed for cleaning. The generator breaks down Sodium chloride and separates the salt from the chlorine to maintain the pH level of the pool.
