Gregorio G. Napoleone (born August 1964) is an Italian businessman, and co-founder and executive chairman of Stirling Square Capital Partners, a pan-European private equity firm.[1] He is a Trustee of New York University (NYU) and a member of the Dean’s Council at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York.[2]
Career
Napoleone began his career at Bankers Trust, where he worked as an associate from 1989 to 1991.[3][4] In 1993, he joined the Ferrero Group as Asia Pacific area manager for finance, planning, and control.[4] He returned to Bankers Trust from 1994 to 1995 before moving to DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, where he served as a principal from 1995 to 2000.[5]
In 2002, he co-founded Stirling Square Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on mid-market companies with enterprise values between €100 million and €500 million.[6] The firm manages over €4 billion in assets across multiple funds and portfolio companies operating in Europe and internationally.[7] He serves on the firm’s management board, investment committee, operating and risk management committee, and sustainability committee, which he chaired until March 2025.[8][7]
Philanthropy
Napoleone is a Trustee of New York University (NYU)[2] and a member of the Dean’s Council at the Tisch School of the Arts.[9] He is married to art collector and philanthropist Valeria Napoleone.[10][11][12]
