Fernando E. Reyes (born May 31, 1996), known professionally as grey dye (stylized in all lowercase), is an Argentinian rapper and songwriter.
Biography
Fernando Reyes was born in 1996. As a teenager, he was a YouTube rapper who rapped about his life in Spanish, but later in 2016 he decided to stop making his songs public so he could expand himself. Reyes was born in Neuquén, Argentina, although once a young adult he moved to Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina, to find his place in the music industry.
Growing up, Reyes listened mostly to rap, and through his mother, some English-Spanish music, such as Shakira. He studied English since he was a child, and in 2018 he started making music in both languages he knew.
On December 2019, after Juice WRLD passed away, Grey Dye published on social media that he wouldn’t write any more Spanish songs. He decided that he would write everything in English and if he wanted to publish Spanish songs he would translate the ones that he wrote. And started recording using the freestyle technique.
