Grozio Chirurgija breach

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

In May 2017, the Grozio Chirurgija cosmetic surgery clinic in Lithuania suffered an information security breach, with 25,000 photos and ID scans released, and ransoms demanded.[1][2][3] Thousands of clients from more than 60 countries have been affected.[1]

The crime, which was widely reported internationally,[4][5][6][7] has been compared to the WannaCry ransomware attack, in that it involved ransoming a medical organization.[1] It has turned attention to weaknesses in Lithuania's information security.[1]
