Grupo Catalana Occidente is one of the leaders in the Spanish insurance and credit insurance sector.[1]

History[edit]

The origins of Catalana Occidente go back to the constitution of the Catalan Society of Fire Insurance known as "La Catalana", promoted by Fernando de Delás and Gelpí in 1864. This society was the embryo of the 'Current Catalan Group Occidente.
