Guru Nanak Mission High School is located at 5/B Mahakali Caves Road, Chakala, in Mumbai district of Maharashtra, India.[2] Guru Nanak Mission High School is a high secondary school, . It believes in overall development of the students by balancing academics, extra curricular activities, sports. The school offers playgrounds for cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton and other sports.[3] The school is run by the Charitable Trust Gurdwara Guru Nanak Punjabi Sabha Chakala for the community to help educate children that might otherwise not have access to school.[4] The school is highly rated. History[edit]

The Guru Nanak Mission High School was founded in 1967 [6] by Shamsher Singh Jolly.[7] When it was first established, it was on the first floor above the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Punjabi Sabha Chakala. As the school's popularity and funding increased, it outgrew that site and was relocated to its present location at Mahakali Caves Road.[8]

Commemoration event[edit]

A Centenary Celebration was held on 1 November 2022, for the founder of the school and the philanthropic work of the founder.[9] At the event, a bust of Shamsher Singh Jolly [10] was unveiled to mark the work that he had done to set up the free school, the Gurdwara and the Charitable Dispensary.[11]
