Gurzain "A Garden"[edit]

The name "Gurzain" is derived from the Khowar language, in which means "garden". The reason of this name is that the book has as much a variety of Khowar poetry as a garden is filled with a variety of fruits.

Why Gurzain?[edit]

Gurzain is the first Khowar poetry collection ever in Gilgit-Baltistan.[2] The name of the book “Gurzain” for the author's Khowar poetry collection was selected because "Gurzain" means "garden". The many types of fruits and flowers were an analogy for the variety of poetry in the book Gurzain. It includes Hamd, Na’at, Sufiana Kalam, poems, Marsia and many of Ghazal.[3]

Throughout his poetry, the poet pointed out the impacts of love and beauty. However he has also foreseen the danger and threats of love.

The main uniqueness of Gurzain is that it includes many poems about children and Muslim Daughters. It leads them to be aware of bad environment, which they will face anytime in their life. The author believes that the real and pure beauty needs no ornaments, it only needs a good character and ethics.
