Guy A.S. Wingate
Guy A.S. Wingate was, until 2010, Chair of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering's GAMP Forum, which is responsible for developing Good Automated Manufacturing Practice guidance.[1] Wingate founded the Supplier Forum with the support of the UK Government Department of Trade and Industry in 1995. The Supplier Forum was later incorporated into the GAMP Forum. Wingate became chair of the GAMP Industry Board in 1999 and chair of the GAMP Global Council in 2001. He led the task teams responsible for developing the internationally renowned GAMP5 Guide 'Risk Based Approach to GxP Compliant Computerised Systems' and accompanying GAMP Good Practice Guide 'Risk Based Approach to Electronic Records and Signatures'. Wingate remains a Council Member. He has been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Manchester's MSc Course on Pharmaceutical Advanced Engineering for the last 10 years. Wingate is the author of three best-selling[citation needed] books on computer validation[clarification needed] published by CRC Press, Interpharm Press and Taylor & Francis, and was a Member of the ISPE International Board of Directors between 2008 and 2012.[2]
