H. N. Mulpury

Hari Nath Babu Mulpury was an executive in Coal India, India's largest coal company. He was involved in founding Mahandi Coalfields, a subsidiary of Coal India, and was its first technical director until his death in 1993.

Mulpury was born in Chataparru, Andhra Pradesh, and graduated as Bachelor in Mining Engineering from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur University. On leaving college he joined National Coal Development Corporation (NCDC). When NCDC merged with Coal India, Mulpury became an executive in Coal India.

While at Talcher, as the Chief General Manager for South Eastern Coalfields, he was involved in the attempt to form Mahanadi Coalfields.

H. N. Mulpury died on July 10, 1993, at the age of 52. He was survived by his wife, Rukmini B. Mulpury, his daughter Jaya Lakshmi Adusumilli, and son Ramana Y. Mulpury.
