Hahow (Chinese: 好學校) is a Taiwanese massive open online course (MOOC) provider founded in 2015. The company name Hahow originates from the Taiwanese word for school.
Hahow operates a special course proposal system. Instructors interested in making a course must deliver a proposal video and go through the basic crowdfunding process to ensure the topic of the course has enough students in the potential market. After the crowdfunding process, Hahow will provide the necessary help, like filming assistance, to ensure the course has a standard quality.
As of April 2021, Hahow has roughly 500,000 students and 600 courses. Students and instructors are mainly based in Taiwan, and some are from Hong Kong and Malaysia.[2]
