Hamsa Majed (Arabic; همسة ماجد, born December 14, 1997) is an Iraqi journalist, actress, model and television presenter. She has worked with many channels , MCP, Alsumaria,

Iraqiya, Sharqiya, Baghdadiya .[1][2]

Biography[edit]

Hamsa Majed was born on 14 December 1987 in Baghdad, Iraq and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad. Since she was young, she has whispered in several television commercials on Al-Shabab TV in the 1990s.

Hamsa got married three times, her last marriage was with the artist Omar Khaled[3] but she is currently divorced, where she divorced him in September 2018 and did not talk about the reasons for her divorce. Hamsa has one child she had in 2007 from her second marriage. Hamsa currently lives in Baghdad.

She inherited the artistic and media sense from her media mother Shatha Mohammed Al-Janabi and worked at Radio Al-Nas as her first step.He then worked for MCP in 2012 in the program "Udo Udo" and it was her first appearance on television, and then appeared in many channels such as Alsumaria program of youth and girls and the Iraqi channel program "Tahat Biha" and worked as a model in the video clip of the artist Salah Hassan entitled "Taab Sahar" and was chosen as a media spoken for the[4] Miss Iraq [5]contest 2017.

the acting[edit]

Hamsa revealed that the one who discovered and convinced her to act was the young director "Atheer Abdul Hussein", where he convinced her to appear as an actress in the film "Flat" by Ali Abu Saif.

She played the role of Doctor Samah, one of the central characters in the work presented by a large group of stars, including Galal Kamel, Sana Abdel Rahman, Bushra Ismail, Mazen Mohamed Mustafa, Wissam Abdel Wahed, Ali El-Najjar, Mohamed Ali Kazem and others.

She performed in her first play on Thursday, February 11, 2016, presented by the Department of Cinema and Theater. Under the Ministry of Culture and on the stage of the National Theater, the satirical comedy was entitled "Play Bey ... Bey"[6][7] written by Hussein Al-Najjar and directed by Ghanem Hamid.
