Hangama Dot Com is a 2024 Indian Bengali language romantic comedy multi-star cast film written and directed by Dr. Krishnendu Chatterjee. The film stars Srabanti Chatterjee, Om Sahani, Koushani Mukherjee and Bonny Sengupta in the lead roles. Kharaj Mukherjee, Rajatava Dutta, Laboni Sarkar, Tulika Basu and Biswanath Basu play other pivotal roles. The film is produced by S S Uddin and Tarana Mahjabin under the banner of SS3 entertainment Pvt. Ltd.. The film illustrates a fun-filled narrative of two middle-aged fathers who are rivals according to their cultures, and when their children fall in love, they do their utmost in a simple and crazy way to bring them together so that their marriage can take place in a peaceful way. Savvy and Amit Chatterjee did the music of the film. Manas Ganguly handled the cinematography while Sanglap Bhowmik did the editing.
Plot
"Hangama Dot Com" is a romantic comedy that follows the chaotic lives of two couples: Samrat (Om Sahani) and Puja (Srabanti Chatterjee); and Abhimanyu (Bonny Sengupta) and Archana (Koushani Mukherjee). Samrat loves Puja, who is Abhimanyu's elder sister, and Abhimanyu loves Archana, who is Samrat's sister. Their love stories face major hurdles due to a longstanding rivalry between their families. As they navigate through a series of hilarious misadventures, misunderstandings, and elaborate plans to unite their families, the two couples discover that love and laughter are the ultimate keys to overcoming any obstacle. The film culminates in a joyous wedding, where all differences are resolved, bringing the families together in a heartwarming celebration.
Synopsis
Sir Charlie Chaplin once said "A day without laughter is a day wasted”. In our busy messy daily life, whatever we do, at the end it all comes to an effort to make ourselves smile. Laughter is always desired; no one can deny that. Keeping this in mind, here we are presenting a romantic comedy movie which has a crazy story to make you laugh your heart out, in the name of Hangama Dot Com, and when the word ‘Hangama’ is there, definitely it has to be a fun-filled hilarious story. People say that “Birth, Death and Marriage – are all in the hand of the Almighty!” No, there is no birth or death in our story, there is only love, romance and being together. But when two persons from two different families and cultures fall in love, their love story does not get an easy happy ending. It needs to fight many challenges. Besides, making a bond between two families who hardly want to see each other is not only tough but also impossible! And to make this happen, two love pairs of our story, Samrat (Om Sahani), Puja (Srabanti Chatterjee), Abhimanyu (Bonny Sengupta), Archana (Koushani Mukherjee) leave no effort. Samrat loves Puja, who is Abhimanyu’s elder sister and Abhimanyu loves Archana who is Samrat’s sister. Apart from them, other important characters of the story are Birat (Rajatava Dutta), Bankim (Kharaj Mukherjee), Chaitali (Laboni Sarkar), Nupur (Tulika Basu), Boss (Rishi Raj) and Ramsingh (Biswanath Basu).
