Hani Sarhan[1] Arabic: هاني سرحانborn November 20, 1984 is an Egyptian author and screenwriter.
Biography[edit]
Born in Mansoura in Egypt, Hani Sarhan[2][3][4] is a talented screenwriter who was able to breakthrough in the Egyptian and Arab drama market. Building his career as a writer, Hani Sarhan attended a number of writing workshops including the one led by writer Tamer Habib, in addition to joining the Clock Work Temptation workshop conducted by writer Mohamed Amin Radi.
In 2017, Sarhan kicked off by writing the first season of El Ab El Rohi, followed by the second season in 2018, which stars a number of salient stars of the Egyptian drama. Although the TV drama was not aired in Ramadan season, it achieved a huge success, as it featured a new form of drama and action that was unusual in Egyptian TV series.
In 2019, Hani joined the Ramadan race for the first time with the TV series Lams Aktaf, starring star Yasser Galal. Since the first weeks, the TV series topped the watch lists, thanks to the different world of drama that Sarhan has created through the story of a wrestler who decides to retire, but he is drawn by circumstances to crimes, prisons and gang life.
For the second year in a row, Hani collaborated with star Yasser Galal in the TV series Al-Fetewa[5] in Ramadan 2020, which takes place in the middle of the nineteenth century in the old Cairo neighborhoods.
Currently, Hani Sarhan is working on the new TV series The Choice 2: Men of Shadow that will be aired in Ramadan, 2021, in addition to El Ab El Rohi[6][7] 3.
Sarhan was famous during this period for his famous works, which drew the attention of the Arab world to him. He founded the Stories Factory workshop that presented several works to the Arab drama, starting in Saudi Arabia with Wasiyat Badr (2020); a social drama in the world of the rich, whose protagonist is a will that separates the family for a purpose that we discover later. The workshop also presents the Egyptian-Lebanese series, Qariat El Fingan, and the Kuwaiti series Ghurfat Raqm 7, which will be aired during the Ramadan season this year.
