Biography[edit]

Agashé was born as Chandrashekhar Agashe II and raised in the entrepreneurial Chitpavan brahmin[2] family of music director and businessman, Mandar Agashe and former model Jiza Agashe.[1] He was named after his great grandfather, the industrialist Chandrashekhar Agashe I.[3] Agashé has been a performing artist at music venues in Pune city since 2014.[1] Agashé began working on his career in the entertainment industry from a very young age, taking vocal lessons from Vineet Alurkar, leading member of the Austrian-Indian musical group Yoga Logik,[1] and taking on a songwriting apprenticeship under singer-songwriter Dhanashree Ganatra.[4] He has one sister.

Since late 2013, Agashé has been recording his music, and has demo recorded with producer Dane Clark, drummer for John Mellencamp and has been a songwriter member of the Nashville Songwriters' Association International.[1][4]

In September 2015, Agashé organised and headlined a music and food event alongside Renae Smith, former contestant of MasterChef Australia (series 6).[5] The event was co-sponsored by Brihans Natural Products Ltd., a pharmaceutical company run by Agashé's aunt, Sheetal Agashe.[5] The event was met with positive response from the local media and Agashé was named "City Celebrity" by The Golden Sparrow for 2015.[6][7]

In March 2016, Agashé played a role in setting up of a short lived venture Barney Stinson themed café in Viman Nagar, a borough of Pune city.[8]

Agashé is a certified dance instructor and conducted classes under Pune based dance academy Dancing Curve between 2014-2015.[6][7] He was educated from grade 1 to grade 10 at Vidya Valley School in Pune.[7] He is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce in Pune, as of 2016, after finishing grade 11 and 12 at the university in 2015.[4]

Family[edit]

Coming from an aristocratic family with a well documented pedigree, Agashé is the grandson of former vice president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India and former chairman of Brihan Maharashtra Sugar Syndicate Ltd., the late Dnyaneshwar Agashe, and the great grand son of industrialist Chandrashekhar Agashe I. His paternal uncle is cricketer Ashutosh Agashe, and paternal aunt is actress and managing director of Brihans Natural Products, Sheetal Agashe.[citation needed]
