Harry Sperl known as Hamburger Harry, is a German-born collector who has the Guinness World Record for the most hamburger related items at 3,724 items.[1][2][3][4][5]

Biography[edit]

Harry was born in Germany but moved to Florida in 1983. He needed items for a carhop display in 1987 and purchased a toy soda, fries and hamburgers.[6] A friend asked if he was collecting hamburgers, and he decided to begin doing so.[7]

He collected 92 hamburger items in his first year from yard sales and flea markets and later began using eBay. While Guinness lists his collection at 3,724 items, he claims to have over 6,000 items in storage.[6] His prized item in his collection is a 1987 Harley-Davidson Sportster that has been converted to look like a giant hamburger.[8][9]

He plans to eventually open a museum for his collection.[10]
