Hasnain Nazish

Hasnain Nazish (Urdu: حسنین نازش) is a Pakistani Columnist, fiction author, Educationist and Travelogue writer.

Early life

Hasnain Nazish (Real name: Hasnain Asghar Qureshi) was born in his maternal grandfather’s house on 12th May 1977 in Nandkot, a small village of Murree in district Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Soon his family moved to Rawalpindi City. After seeking his early education, he graduated from Government Degree College, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. Then had master's degree in Economics. He also got degrees of MA Urdu and Masters in Business Administration.

Career

After completing his education, he started his professional career from "Daily Dawn" Islamabad. Leaving Daily Dawn, he started teaching in Federal Urdu University Islamabad, Allama Iqbal Open University and some other private educational institutes of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. During that era, he spent much of his time watching movies, hanging out with friends and reading books. Nowadays he is holding a responsible and key post in Electronic media.

Columns and Books

During his career, he has been a newspaper columnist and a contributor in Pakistani newspapers including Daily Observer, Daily Dawn and Daily Pakistan where he used to write a weekly column.
His exclusive interviews are published and aired in different print and electronic media in Pakistan and in Beijing, China also.
He got his identity as a man of letters in the literary circles after publishing his book "اُردو ہے جس کا نام" (Urdu Hai Jis Ka Naam) which was published in the year 2007. The book was about history and evolution of Urdu language, introduction of genre of poetry and prose and literary movements.
His first collection of short stories was published in 2009 under the title "پہلی اڑان" (First Flight). Critic Hameed Shahid and famous short story writer Mansha Yaad appreciated this book and the author and marked him as an emerging young writer. He wrote his first travelogue under the title "قاردش، سفرنامہ ترکیہ" (Kardesh), a travelogue to Turkey which was published in 2013.
He also traveled to China in summer 2016 where he shaped up his travel stories under the title "دیوارِچین کے سائے تلے" (Under the Shadow of Great Wall of China).
His 5th book in total and 3rd travelogue under the title “امریکا میرے آگے” (America ahead of me) was published in 2020.
His 6th book is under the stages of printing about his travel stories of six European countries.

Awards and recognition

Hasnain Nazish received many honorary shields and certificates in recognition of his literary services and services for Urdu language and literature from Pakistan, China and the USA.
