Hassan Ahmed Raja (born February 12, 1987) is a Pakistani actor, filmmaker and educationist. He is a post graduate in Multimedia Arts (Film Major) from National College of Arts, Lahore with a distinction.
Biography[edit]
Hassan was born in Jauharabad, Pakistan on February 12, 1987. He was 9 when he first realized his passion for telling stories but, with time, he forgot about it. The moment of realization came when he finished his graduation in Electronics Engineering and dreamed to pursue a career as a filmmaker. He considers theater and radio as the main source of inspiration to turn him into a better performer and storyteller. In future, he plans to write stories and make films that could help in bringing peace and love in the world. As a filmmaker, he considers Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Majid Majidi, and Hayao Miyazaki as his biggest inspirations.[1]

Acting[edit]
His journey towards filmmaking and performing arts started early in his childhood when he started writing and recording improvised short stories in audio cassettes. He started doing theatre in 2007 which he considers was the main source of inspiration to turn him into a filmmaker and performing artist. He has performed on stage as an actor, dancer, and vocalist with many renowned performing artists since his first exposure to the stage. He has acted in almost five short-films as a leading actor.
Film-making[edit]
His short film "Koofay" bagged two awards and two nominations at LUMS International Film Festival (FiLUMS) in February 2017 (Winner: Best Short Film, Best Sound Design; Nomination: Best Visuals, Best Actor).
Teaching[edit]
He started teaching film courses to MA Multimedia Arts at National College of Arts, Lahore in early 2017 as a visiting faculty for more than 2 years. Currently, he’s teaching film courses to BA Film & Digital Arts students under University for the Creative Arts, UK and Higher National Diploma (BTEC) in Creative Media Production at The Millennium Universal College, Islamabad.[2]
Hassan has also started an online institute called The Film Tuition where he offers online short courses for filmmakers and performing artists.
