Hayk Gagik Yeghanyan (born September 7, 1984, Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR) is an Armenian entrepreneur and financier. Since July 19, 2017, he has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Armenian Stock Exchange, a position he currently holds.։

He received his secondary education at the Melkonian Educational Institute in Cyprus. He then continued his studies at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, earning a bachelor's degree in financial economics. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Imperial College London.

Professional Experience

He began his professional career in 2006 as a specialist in the Economic Security Department at Gazprom Armenia CJSC. From 2007 to 2010, he established and led the Securities Operations Department, overseeing the preparatory work for an initial public offering (IPO), during which he organized the first public bond issuance and placement in Armenia.։

He worked in the private banking sector in London and simultaneously served as an advisor to the Central Bank of Armenia in the United Kingdom, focusing on the development of business relations with international asset managers in the context of pension reform։

Continuing his advisory work, from 2013 to 2016 he served as an advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia, and from 2016 to 2017, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of NASDAQ OMX Armenia CJSC.։

Contribution to Armenia

As early as 2020, the Warsaw Stock Exchange signed a term sheet with the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia regarding the acquisition of a 65% stake in the Armenian Stock Exchange and later, in 2022, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, a memorandum of understanding was preliminarily signed by the Warsaw Stock Exchange expressing its intention to acquire shares of the Armenian Stock Exchange. This was followed by the signing of a share purchase agreement for the controlling stake in the Armenian Stock Exchange between Martin Galstyan, Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia, and Marek Dietl, CEO of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.։

This transaction marked another important step in strengthening Armenian Polish business relations, enhancing economic ties between the two countries, and fostering a culture of business cooperation in Armenia - a process to which Hayk Yeghanyan has made a significant contribution.

His activities contribute to the development of economic relations between Poland and Armenia, promote the establishment of companies in Armenia, and enhance the international potential of Armenian enterprises.
