Hellraiser is an upcoming horror television series. It is based on the Hellraiser franchise created by Clive Barker, which was itself based on his novella The Hellbound Heart
Premise[edit]
Follows Pinhead, the ruthless leader of the Cenobites, a group of humans-turned-demons that keep the balance of good and evil.
Production[edit]
Development of a television continuation of the Clive Barker created Hellraiser franchise was first announced in June 2019.[1] By April 2020, the series was set at HBO, with David Gordon Green set to direct several episodes, and Michael Dougherty and Mark Verheiden writing the series. Green, Doughery and Verheiden will also serve as executive producers.[2] In October, franchise creator Barker joined the series as an executive producer, and is set to direct several episodes.[3]
