Hennur is a suburb in Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. The locality is surrounded by the Outer Ring Road and Hennur Main Road. It is located approximately 15 kilometers from Bangalore City railway station and has Bangalore East Railway station & Bangalore Cantonment Railway station in near proximity. This suburb used to be in the outskirts of Bengaluru many years ago. With arrival of IT Hubs and Commercialisation around Kammanahalli, Banaswadi huge transformation has come in here
Hennur - Bagalur main road is an arterial road of Bangalore east and passes through Hennur. This road is also an alternate Airport Rd [1] as it connects to the Kempegowda International Airport
Hennur Gardens, Coconut Grove Layout, Divya Unnathi Layout, Dvr Layout are the nearby Localities to Hennur. Mantri Asta, Jain Heights, Classic Royale Garden are few major apartment complexes around this locality. DMart has a big store on the Hennur Main road and has a huge footfall
Once a huge rock quarry existed here and thus giving the nearby place a famous name "Hennur Bande". This has since been filled up and is an open space now
Healthcare facilities are yet to catch-up with the requirements, although two hospitals are in the area Cratis Hospital, Hosmat Hospital.
Hennur has its own Law & Traffic police stations under the Bangalore City Police jurisdiction. With the increase in the population around Hennur, the BTP created the Hennur Traffic Police station limits under the Bangalore Traffic North Division per announcement during December 2022[2]

Hennur land area lies amongst the KR Puram constituency and Sarvagnanagar constituency of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly
The KR Puram constituency is represented by Shri B A Basavaraj of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was elected as the Member of Legislative assembly from this constituency in 2013 and 2018 Karnataka Assembly election. It is a part of the Bangalore North Lok Sabha constituency. Sadananda Gowda is the present MP from this Lok Sabha constituency
Shri K. J. George represents the Sarvagnanagar constituency. George won the Sarvagnanagar constituency in 2018 Karnataka polls by a margin of over 53,000 votes against Bharatiya Janata Party’s MN Reddy

a. Hennur Lake Bio-diversity Park[3] - This is a beautiful and huge lung space, with a lot of attractions. Opened in 2016, the park is spread over 35 acres and has various attractions inside it - Walkway, Gazebo, Ponds, and many vareity of trees. This place is situated beside the Outer Ring Rd between Manyata Embassy Tech Park and Hennur Circle
b. Bus Depot of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation the Depot is located at the Hennur Junction, beside the Outer Ring Rd. This Depot is amongst the earliest of the bus depots in the Organisation, its number Depot 10
