Henry Prudence Hart[2] (born November 3, 2001)[3] also known as his sidekick alias, Kid Danger[4] is a fictional character and co-protagonist from the Nickelodeon live-action comedy television series Henry Danger and guest star on Danger Force. He was Captain Man's (Cooper Barnes) sidekick and partner in Swellview,[5] until going to Dystopia in the final episode.

He is portrayed by Jace Norman.

Role in Henry Danger

Henry gets a job working for Ray Manchester (Captain Man) after responding to an advertisement for a part-time job. Henry wanted an afterschool job, and by accident, he met Captain Man, starting the double life of Henry.[6]

Appearance

Henry is portrayed as an initially unpopular student who is considered attractive by some characters. He has blond hair and brown eyes. He is seen mostly in plaid shirts with jeans, but sometimes wears regular long-sleeved shirts. As Kid Danger, his outfit consists of mainly blue and red. His outfit includes a mask, boots, a utility belt, and gloves.[7]

Relationships

Henry has many friends, one is Jasper Dunlop (Sean Ryan Fox), who has been a friend of his since preschool. He originally liked buckets, and now can sleepfight and speak fluent Spanish.[8] His other friend is Charlotte Page (Riele Downs), being highly intelligent, knowing about Henry's secret only 3 episodes in.[9] He also has a sister, Piper Hart (Ella Anderson), who has anger issues.[10]

Personality

Henry is very optimistic, going for ridiculous missions, but is sometimes naïve, accidentally revealing to Jasper about his identity when Jasper said he knows his secret. As a sidekick, he is loyal to the people of Swellview and his friends. Henry can often be doing stuff before thinking, which has put him in many predicaments. Despite this, he becomes more responsible and confident as he gains experience as Kid Danger.

Powers and abilities

Henry Hart is a skilled fighter as Kid Danger. His fighting skills are mainly about hand-to-hand and kicking, and he also uses many gadgets and powers given to him by Captain Man's inventor, Schwoz Schwartz (Michael D. Cohen), He has many gadgets, which include: his laser, his holographic watch, and a memory wiper. He did not have any powers until Season 2 where he became indestructible. This only lasted a day, before changing back due to a defection.[11] After this, he gained "Hyper-motility", when he lost a fight and got humiliated by Drex Stinklebaum,[12] (Tommy Walker) and came back to defeat Drex.[13] He lost this power in the season 5 episode "A New Hero"[14] but then gained a power in the final episode, a force field.[15] In the movie, he figured out how to fly with this force-field.[8]

Fighting skills

Henry, as Kid Danger, fought many times with Captain Man, mainly with hand-to-hand combat. This includes kicking, punching, elbowing, and many other fighting skills. In a time of weaponry, he usually steals from the criminal, or uses his laser. He has many brawls in specials, such as Danger & Thunder, a crossover with the Thundermans, where he fights almost every popular criminal in Swellview on top of a train.[16][17] Another way he fought was in Henry Danger: The Musical, where instead of fighting normally, he fought by singing and dancing. He was joined by Captain Man and Piper, and won.[18][19]

Role in spinoffs and film

The Adventures of Kid Danger

Henry in the series is very similar to his portrayal in the third season of Henry Danger. Henry's actions is mostly like him in the original series, with his comedic, and serious sides portraying in the show. He was also more energetic as animation allows for this.[20]

Danger Force

Henry first appears in Danger Force in “Chapa's Crush”, where he returns to Swellview and hides in the Man's Nest from Blackout. In “Return of the Kid”, he works with Ray and the Danger Force to defeat Blackout before returning to Dystopia.][21][22] He later returns in “A Henry Among Us”, where he helps the team defeat a cyborg version of Rick Twitler.[23] In “The Supies”, Henry is recruited by the Danger Force to fight villains during a superhero and villain event.[24] His final appearance is in “Guardians of the Ponytail”, where Captain Man and Kid Danger are hired to capture Duke Wellington after being hired by Archduke Fernando.[25]

Henry Danger: The Movie

Henry first appears being with Jasper as they both work as co-workers, but Jasper quits believing he isn't in the spotlight. As Henry is sponsoring "Bizwatch", A fictional watch business, Henry is sent to Newtown, where he sees Missy (Glee Dango), a superfan. Henry is taken through multiple universes, with the first is where he meets Piper, Jasper, Schwoz, and Frankini (Frankie Grande). After this, he gets sent to a gloomy version of Newtown, where Piper and Frankini turn into vampires, now called "VamPiper" and "FangKini", and gets into a brawl, winning with Jasper. After, he is sent to the Maple Syrup Wars, where 6 Canadian men are seeking for the last tube of Maple syrup. While Henry and Jasper are hiding, they gain back their friendship, and if Henry can get back, he will make sure that they can both be in the spotlight. When Henry gets back from the universes, he finds Captain Man, and says he needs help.[8]
