Henry Schuck is an American entrepreneur and billionaire.[1] He is the Founder and CEO of ZoomInfo Technologies, Inc., a Vancouver, Washington-based software as a service (SaaS) company that helps corporate sales and marketing teams with customer outreach.[2] He co-founded the company as DiscoverOrg in 2007.[3]

Early life[edit]

Schuck grew up in La Crescenta, California, outside Los Angeles, with his sister and single mother, who supported the family by working three jobs.[4]

Education[edit]

Schuck attended the Honors College at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and graduated cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Hospitality Management. He was student body president at UNLV and founded the school’s water polo club.[5]

Schuck later attended and graduated from Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law.[6] He also studied comparative law at Oxford University in England.[7]

He briefly served as an Adjunct Professor at Washington State University.[6]

As a student at UNLV, Schuck worked at iProfile, a sales intelligence company in Henderson, Nevada, later ascending to Vice President of Research and Marketing.[3]

DiscoverOrg[edit]

In 2007, while Schuck was in law school, he and a co-founder put $25,000 on their credit cards to start DiscoverOrg.[2][8] The company relocated to its current headquarters in Vancouver, Washington in 2009.[9]

ZoomInfo[edit]

The company operated as DiscoverOrg until February 2019, when Schuck led the acquisition of its competitor Zoom Information and subsequently rebranded as ZoomInfo.[10][11]

On 4 June 2020, ZoomInfo went public, opening on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol “ZI.”[12][13][14][15] It was the Portland, Oregon, area's largest IPO ever.[3]

As of July 2020, Schuck oversees more than 1,300 ZoomInfo employees in seven offices in the U.S. and Israel.[16]

Awards[edit]

Schuck was recognized as one of Goldman Sachs’ “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2018.”[17] He also won the 2015 Growth Stage Award at the OEN Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards[18], which celebrate the "brightest, boldest and best entrepreneurs." Schuck was also a two-time finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2015 and 2016.[19]

He was named 2013 Alumnus of the Year by the UNLV Honors College.[5]
