Heron Recordings

Heron Recordings is an independent record label based in London, England. Bands on the label include The Beep Seals, Goldheart Assembly, Jennifer Gentle, The See See and Mossy Pine.

In 2009 the label collaborated with author Will Hodgkinson on a collection of contemporary field recordings to accompany his book The Ballad Of Britain [1] .[2] The album featured recordings of artists including Gruff Rhys, Martin Carthy and Alasdair Roberts (musician) playing songs captured by Hodgkinson on a portable recording device.

The label is distributed in the UK by Vital, which has recently been renamed [PIAS] UK.
