Hewago Paul Oea (born 13 November 2001) is a Papua New Guinean Australian rules footballer playing for the Gold Coast Suns in the Australian Football League.
Early life
Oea played his first game of AFL as a 12-year-old. He played for the Papua New Guinea junior men's team as both a 14-year-old and as a 16-year-old. He received a scholarship to the Gold Coast football academy, which required him to relocate to Queensland at the age of fifteen. In 2020, he was added to the Gold Coast's player list as an international selection.[1][2]
AFL career
Oea made his debut against Collingwood in round 16 of the 2022 season. He kicked a goal with his first kick in his first game.[3]
