High Up Entertainment (Hangul하이업엔터테인먼트; RRHaieob Enteoteinmeonteu), also known as just High Up, is a South Korean entertainment company formed under the partnership with CJ E&M, back in 2017. The company's home to artists such as STAYC, Park Si-eun and Black Eyed Pilseung.

History[edit]

High Up Entertainment was founded on June 14, 2017, by the producer duo Black Eyed Pilseung in collaboration with CJ E&M.[1] Black Eyed Pilseung has produced songs for multiple K-pop artists such as Twice, Miss A, Apink and Sistar.[2][1] In January 2018, they held a national talent-scouting audition tour.[3]

On February 12, 2019, the company debuted their first duo, 415, with the digital single "Remember".[4]

In December 2019, Park Si-eun signed a contract with the label and went on to become a member of STAYC.[5]

In October, 2020, they officially announced that the girl group STAYC, who had been previously introduced to the public as "High Up Girls", would debut with the single album Star to a Young Culture and its lead single "So Bad" on November 12 after 3 years of preparations.[5][6]

In June 2021, Kakao Entertainment acquired 40% of the company's shares, becoming its largest shareholder.[7]
