Highered - EFMD Global Career Services platform..[1] is used by management and business schools worldwide offered by the schools'​ local career services to their students helping students find international placements. The Highered platform is used by companies to reach and recruit students at these schools.

EFMD[2], established 1972, is the world's oldest and largest member organization and school accreditation body. More than 500 educational institutions are accredited by and member of EFMD. The EFMD business school network has more than 3 million enrolled students. This global talent portal comes in addition to all other existing initiatives and resources you have access to at career services at schools. It is targeted towards local students that want to explore an international experience and also international students looking for placements back at home[3]

The Highered team is based in Oslo, Shanghai, Stockholm, Brussels and New York. From all over the world Highered work with talent attraction and employer branding sector for the higher education industry in co-operation with EFMD Global Network.

In cooperation with EFMD, Highered was established in 2015 by Bernt Blankholm and Erik Spade. The network platform was built during 2016 and the first staff in Edgars Butramjevs, Kendall Brown and Gustaf S. Christensen joined the team. Highered was launched in February 2017, with Bentley University being the first school to launch the network towards their students.

Within the first year of operation Highered already had a reach of more than 400 schools and more than 50.000 registered students from 80 countries, and was supporting companies like The World Bank, Nike, PepsiCo, Equinor, Accenture, Norges Bank Investment Management and Yara with their global reach, diversity and employer branding in their graduate recruitment.

EFMD[edit]

The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is an international not-for-profit association, based in Brussels, Belgium.[5] Europe's largest network association in the field of management development,[6] it has over 890 member organizations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in 88 countries (as of September 2017). EFMD provides a forum for networking in management development.[7]

EFMD operates the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), which is one of the leading international systems of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. It is comparable to its American equivalent Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and provides a forum for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development.[8]
