Open Digest is a digital media platform based in Kochi, Kerala, which publishes positive news and inspiring stories.[1][2] It was founded in October 2022 by Ajay Kanth who is also the current Editor and CEO. Open Digest publishes stories in video and text formats and publishes content in English language.

Open Digest is founded by Ajay Kanth, a journalist who has worked with The Times of India, The New Indian Express, The Press Trust of India, The United News of India, News Today and Oman Tribune.[3][4] He had also held the post of Vice President with Delhi-based MD Niche Media Consultants for nearly two years.

Ajay Kanth claims that he launched Open Digest “as a fresh movement in journalism in Kerala to tell impactful and inspirational stories for the people to stay positive, forward looking and be inspired.”[5]
According to the founder, “the platform, through constructive journalism, aims to create an impact-driven positive movement offering solutions and empowering people to make a positive difference in society.”
Open Digest is owned and operated by Byte7 Services Private Limited, a company launched by Ajay Kanth along with his wife Sreerenjini Jaya.[6]
Byte7 is a registered startup with Startup India and Kerala Startup Mission[7]
