Himalayan Re-Insurance Limited (also known as Himalayan Re is the first Privately owned reinsurance company of Nepal[2] established in july 2021.The paid-up capital and the net worth of Himalayan Reinsurance as of 2022 stood at ~NPR 7,000 million. [3] The company has been rated a Financial Strength Rating of "B (Fair)" and a Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of "BB+" (Fair) by AM Best [4] and offering various reinsurance products to life insurance and general insurance companies in Nepal and overseas.
