Hindsight is an American national touring hard rock band from Houston, Texas.[1]
History
The band was started by a group of friends (Brad, Eric, and Paul) during high school. As the members grew older, so did the band's musical style, and they began gaining traction in the local music scene. There have been a few member changes since then, with the current lineup solidifying in 2013. Paul and Eric left the band around 2013 for personal reasons, then the band recruited long-time friend Lincoln LaCour to take over on drums. The band posted on their Facebook page that they were looking to recruit a new bass player; Jesse auditioned and was officially named the new bass player after opening up for Flyleaf in College Station, Texas at Hurricane Harry's. Following this show, the band was ready to tour across the US in support of their album *Momentum*. [2] [3]
Self-Titled CD
Released in 2011, the band enlisted Dean Dichoso to assist with recording, mixing, and mastering this album after attempting to do so independently.
Momentum
Released in 2014, this album took a significantly different direction compared to their debut. This time, the band utilized Dean Dichoso Productions, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA for production, recording, and mixing. Mastering was handled by UE Nastasi of Sterling Sound Studios in New York, NY. The band embarked on a tour across the East, West, and Gulf Coast for the next three years to promote the album.
On January 22, 2019, the local iHeartRadio station 94.5 The Buzz aired "Reasons" from the *Momentum* album during their broadcast. It was part of Karah's *Hate It or Love It* episode and aired for the next three weeks.[4][5]
In September 2015, The Blitz on ESPN Houston aired "In The Dark" from the album during their segment.
On May 5, 2019, 99.5 Kiss-FM in San Antonio, TX aired "In The Dark" on their "Texas Traxx" segment.
On May 15, 2019, Hindsight signed with G4L records under their sync licensing division as a heavy metal artist. G4L Records is an artist-centric record label and music services company located in Hollywood, CA.[6]
Catalyst
Projected for a summer 2020 release, the band has begun releasing singles from their upcoming album *Catalyst*.[7]
The music video for "Ashes" was released in 2019 on the band's official YouTube channel.
The music video for "Where We Found Hope" was released on April 28, 2020, on the band's official YouTube channel.[8] [9] [10]

Musical Style, Influences, and Lyrical Themes
Musical Style
Hindsight is a heavy metal band, though some songs lean more towards rock or hard rock.
The riff- and percussion-driven hard rock band "Hindsight" formed in Sugar Land, Texas, around the turn of the millennium with a group of young musicians. They sought to create music that was both hard-rocking and melodically inspiring. Hindsight's style combines 1990s alternative rock with modern heavy metal and metalcore.[2]
Influences
Hindsight draws inspiration from bands such as Shinedown, Sevendust, Killswitch Engage, and Breaking Benjamin, among others. They incorporate elements from both 1990s and contemporary metal acts to craft their unique sound.
