Hire a Camp (stylised as HireACamp or HAC) is an Indian online marketplace company that lets travelers easily search and book outdoor stays and camping experiences with local camp owners via a website and mobile app.[1][2]
Founded in December 2019 by Kashish Pahwa and Mitul Agrawal. HireACamp is expanded to 50 locations in India.
HireACamp is recognised by Startup India and Startup Uttrakhand.[3][4]
History[edit]
Kashish Pahwa, an engineering dropout, was planning a camping trip to Rishikesh with his friends in 2018 and couldn't find a promising website to book camp stays. This prompted him to delve deeper, and after more research, he devised the HireACamp concept. Mitul Agrawal joined him to work on the platform the same year.[5]
Funding[edit]
In 2021, HireACamp raised an undisclosed seed funding from Hari Balasubramanian, Dr. Uma Kant Panwar, Uday Chatterjee, Raman Roy, Nitin Singhal, Hank Uberoi, Munish Jauhar, Ajit Surana, Jayant Sirsat and Mohit Jain.[6][7][8]
